The Lecoultre Triple Date Moonphase Astronomic was introduced in the 1940's, post-war.We begin with a simple three-hand movement. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). It's rhodium plated with cotes de Geneve embellishment, 17 jewels, an anti-shock device, a straight-line lever escapement, and an index regulator. This Lecoultre Triple Date Moonphase Astronomic has a mechanical manual winding LeCoultre 486AW movement. It includes blued steel sword hands, a center date indicator hand with a red arrow tip, and there are twin aperture windows for the day and month at 12 o'clock in English. The gold colored moon phase has a small face surrounded by blue with small gold stars. Around the lighter perimeter are light blue Arabic numeral dates, while the combination moon phase/running small seconds dial with a blued hand indicator at six o'clock cuts off days 15-18. The dial is two-tone silver separated by a black railroad-style minute/seconds track with black square hour indices. The 10K gold filled 24mm by 41mm tonneau rectangular single body case (the case still has sharp edges all around), straight rounded lugs, and flat bezel with cut-out lozenge hour markers, are polished/brushed. There is a solid snap down case back engraved with "10K GOLD FILLED," and on the inside of the case is stamped "LECOULTRE – KEYSTONE – J BOSS – 10K GOLD FILLED," and a serial number.
